Not so impressive given that he does not start from "any position at all" as he states but from a position of having a key corner piece and 3 others in place that reflect the color of three sides. Basically having put in place a cube corner which he then revolves around. Four squares on three sides ( a total of seven squares. 3 centers, 1 corner, and 3 others) never move and are set correctly from the start.
