Homeless in LA
Los Angeles County has more homeless people -- estimated at roughly 73,000 on any given night -- than any other metropolis in the country. It also has a topography in which dense urban areas frequently brush up against tiny pockets of wilderness.
For those without houses, this landscape offers many opportunities for ingenious solutions -- aeries beneath bridges, riverbed encampments, ad hoc tree houses with million-dollar views -- to the problem of where to sleep.

73,000 and they can only accomadate 20% in shelters....thats astounding. Camping in treetops - it really does sound like something you've seen in a movie, it sounds unreal.

Freakin crazy!! And the thing is is that that's money going to the toilet. There needs to be a program establish that can get homeless of the street. Instead of making getting our crap from sweatshops in china, lets make some sweatshops here, the homeless would be more than happy to work for them.
