It never occured to me that George Lucas was influenced by C.G. Jung, but after reading the article it all makes sense.
I've long admired Jung's perpectives on life. In a book entitled "C.G. Jung Speaking," which is comprised of speeches that he made at various locations, some of his comments really inspired me. For example, Jung said, "most of our difficulties come from losing contact with our instincts, with the age-old unforgotten wisdom stored up in us. And where do we make contact with this old man in us? In our dreams." Jung goes on to point out that there is a believe in all cultures of "the wisdom of sleeping on a problem."
Jung convinced me that, in most cases, the solutions to our problems lie within us.
