The "Giant Catfish from Guangdong" is actually a young male whale shark from a Taiwan fishery.

Fortunately, Taiwan has recognised that whale sharks are a slow growing and slow breeding species, and are therefore at great risk of overfishing. They have agreed to halt the killing of the sharks, and have prosecuted fishermen taking them illegally.

Wouldn't want to sit on a durian. Actually, wouldn't want to eat one, either, but my Indonesian acquaintances prefer it to chocolate, so there you go.

Durian should be eaten once in every human-beings time here on earth. Zimmer abhores it, Bourdain eats it like there is no tomorrow (travel channel hosts)

I wonder what the penalty for a durian is in Singapore. I remember hearing that the penalty for spitting on the street was something like caning or lashes.
