Happy birthday to my mom

Mom_2 Today is my mother’s 75th birthday. I know it’s not nice to tell a woman’s age, but what the heck -

It’s been over 35 years since I left my parents’ home (under less than happy circumstances), and 32 years since I left Israel for good. For my mom’s birthday I decided to come for a surprise visit without telling anybody beforehand. I will be here for a few days and celebrate with my parents & the rest of my family.

Please be kind & leave good wishes in the comments for my mom’s birthday. If she gets more than 30 comments, I will award the sender of the most original or unusual greetings a $35 gift certificate to an e-store or a charity of their choosing –

יום הולדת שמח, אמא

While here, I intent on having a massage

And here are a few photos from my own birthday a few weeks ago…

This posting was pre-blogged. I am not sure yet how this surprise visit will play itself out... Stay tuned. A few personal items about me Here

A mother is the best real estate a boychick can have...her value increaes with age and best of all you can love and honor her even from afar so that the old saying location, location, location gets a new twist: wherever she is, there you are too in your heart.

Congrats mom! I am one year older than you and someday you will really know what it is to be on in years, as I do now!

play nice and have fun

Happy Birthday Hanan's Mom!:

A Quote:

And is not time even as love is, undivided and spaceless?

But if in your thought you must measure time into seasons, let each season encircle all the other seasons,

And let today embrace the past with remembrance and the future with longing.

You must be an extraordinary woman, since you have such an extraordinary son. I am pretty sure he is not a self production (is it correct ?).
I wish you marvellous and peaceful years,

Cher Madame Levin,

You can be proud that your son hosts a wonderful site that makes all kind of strangers happy.

I hope you enjoyed Hanan's visit and wish you many more happy years of grand mothering.

Mrs. Levin, please allow me to wish you a most happy birthday.

We live in an age of miracles, not the least of which is the technology allowing me to write this to you.

Peace be with you today and always.

Hello everybody,

My mother liked the greeting that Michelle sent to her birthday the most, and asked me to give her the $35 prize money. I sent her a personal message, asking her to provide me with a mailing address or a paypal account.

Thank you all for reading my blog & for participating in this little "game" - It really made my mother happy.

While looking up interesting ideas to celebrate my Mom's up coming 75th birthday, I stumbled upon your site. How sweet that you took the time to devote a page to her. I think that's wonderful. I hope you and your family receive many Blessings.

I was searching for ideas on my Dad's 75th birthday - and found your blog.

No, not nice to tell a woman's age - but, I'm sure your Mom is happy with your tribute to her.

Happy belated birthday to your Mom - from here in western Canada.

Cheers!

I have nothing original or unusual. I stumbled upon this site searching for a gift for my father in law. I would just like to wish your mother wonderful birthday greetings. I am sure in 75 years she has experienced so much, seen so much & has really lived. I wish her many more years of joy. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
