I got to hand it to her marketing team what a way to get publicity. She do not even make the 50 most beautiful list (People magazine) go figure that one out. None of those stars on this list are the most beautiful either.

While attending Cannes Film Festival in France in 2002 I have the chance to see Aishwarya Rai in person although she is quit lovely she does not possess the qualities associated with being the world's most beautiful woman.

I saw who does....

That same year at Cannes wearing a billion dollar bikini was the World's most beautiful woman (according to everyone) Model/Actress BeauLatasha who is the most beautiful woman in the world by all standards of beauty according to the millions that came out to see her in the famous International Companies ad as well as the press that went crazy I mean ballistic over her unbelieveable beauty as well as advertisers who have stood in line to sign her to represent their companies.

BeauLatasha is the most beautiful girl in the world according to Mouiseri Laureaux, President of Intl Companies Inc.

BeauLatasha....Only in a million years does a woman this beautiful come along..... according to the late Famous Photographer Franceso Scavullo.

BeauLatasha although known only in Europe and various other countries, has not made her way to the United States yet but when She does. Everyone will be amazed at how beautiful she is.

I wouldn't say that Aishwarya Rai is the most beautiful person in the world.
I saw her at the airport once on a trip to India. At first I thought she was gorgeous. She looked like a porcelain doll and that made me realize that she was one of those people who didn't need make up to look pretty. But, when I saw her attitude towards people around her, all that beauty vanished.
She knows she's pretty and that alot of people are in awe of her, but with the stuck up attitude I saw,I wonder if anyone in their right minds could call her pretty leave alone beautiful.
To me the word 'pretty' means something or someone who looks nice, but the word 'beautiful' has a much deeper meaning. It refers to the heart within. If one has a pure heart they're beautiful.
I'm an Indian and if someone from my country is recognized I'd be the proudest person around, but to acknowledge a person like Aishwarya Rai as the most beautiful person would be the biggest mistake. Just because she's famous does not put her in the stand where she can look at people as though they were down trodden.
India has alot of beautiful woman. It always has. These people are more beautiful than her. And I don't say this because I am jealous of her beauty ( since her fans would think so), it's because of my personal experience where I witnessed what she really is.

These list are such jokes. Look at whose on them. Most of them are ugly by anyones standards. Look at Hello's list, these women aren't even the most attractive compared to checkout girls.

Look at Harpers and Queens. Dita Von Teese, Uma therman,Nigella Lawson none of these women are most beautiful period. Barely even attractive.

i think Aishwarya looks pretty with make up, but she would look pretty common without it. make up artists spend hours trying to make her look pretty, but they cant do anything about her TERRIBLE PERSONALITY!!! we will never know who is the most beautiful woman in the world, because to know that we would have to meet EVERY woman in the world.

I agree Ash may not be the most beautiful, but in the contest she has come out the highest rated. there is to be a scale and in the scale she emerged the best. But people should also realise that Ash is true celebrity and has contributed substantially to charity, women causes and projected the soft power of india well. projection of her image has also resulted in India getting an image of a land with beautiful and talented people. her face adorns posters and ads in the West giving publcity to famous companies like Loreal and Longines. All this show her as a person with substance and not only beauty.

She is definetly very attractive. However, I must say that I agree with some of the other reviews. There are countries that most people are not even aware of that have gorgeous women. One such country is Ethiopia. Go to Addis Ababa, take one look at all the girls around you and you will see exactly what I mean, natural beauty at its finest!

Women are all beautiful in one way or the other. I hate to say that beauty fades by the time.And same goes for these women who contest fairly in their young ages and gets depressed in their old ages. For me Ash is a woman next door and very simple. Yet with make up she looks very gorgeous.

And i have seen many women who are more attractive than her. But i guess these materialistic and unrealistic contests have taken away our valuable time since we waste our time arguing unnecesarily on these beauty bees oops. queens i mean!

PEOPLE! Get a grip! Don't you know the old saying beauty is in the eye of the beholder? While one may look beautiful to me to another may appear ugly. And beauty gets old and fades, a personality really stands out and makes a person appealing and intriging. And personally I find Angelina Jolie to be one of the worlds most beautiful, her face has chemistry, everything is placed in the right spot. And just for the record I thought she was beautiful before all this People's Magazine bull.

She is not the most beautiful. I agree with all those who realise that it is all marketting nonsense. I'm of Indian Karnataka descent and was shocked to go to India and discover that loads of women try to use bleaching creams to make their skin fairer so what JJ said was right.The salons are actually promoting being fairer. I hate Bollywood films due to all the stupid prancing about and fake english/american accents. They dress like idiots. No one I have seen in India dress like this. miniskirts and tank tops.Hell not even that many people here in the UK dress like this. I have travelled to the middle east, morocco etc, these women are really beautiful. There are many beautiful natural women in India as there are in every country but bollywood is trying to be something totally fake. The amount of makeup is ridiculous in the films. I have seen her at the premiere of Devdas and I was like WOW. She was actually walking with Beau Latasha and surprisingly, Beau Latasha did not stand out at all. Aishwaria got all the photographs and people were just complimenting her.
That day on, I consider her as the most beautiful woman on this planet. Seriously, those pics are no match to her in reality.
