Hi, my name is Brendan and i am 18 years old. I have smoked "pot" and i believe it is the dumbest thing i have ever done! I only smoked it for about a year or maybe two, but i can't even remember that!!!! I now have trouble learning and remembering and its all because i was influenced by ppl like you that it is a recriational thing to do!!!! Oh boy were you guys wrong. This crap has destroyed my mental health and it will ner be the same. Drugs lead to bad behaviour in children (teenagers) and in adults too, and as a child who had smoked this drug, can either go down two paths of life, a positive one where they recognize that wat they did was fucking stupid and to try and move on or they can continue destroying thier lives and continue to be spiraling down in there mental health.
I may not be an expert on the effects of drugs but i know very well wat depression and axiaty feels like. The last thing i would want to do is make ppl feel that this path of life is ok by legalising this drug. I may not live in America and so these rules will not apply to me, but i cant bare to know that i didn't try to stop a country destroying themselfs because of one drug. I don't know alot about your countries history, but i know that alot of men have died for your country and i don't think they would want this law to be passed.
America don't be so fucken stupid to belive that this law will help your country in anyway.
I know the effects of this drug and i hope no one else sohuold have to go through them aswell because i know very well that it isn't worth it.

Hey man thats kool your from Austrailia. Is weed different there? When you used to poke your smot did you do it every day. Well i have come to relize that marijuana is the shit. For me any way i love it. i cant smoke it right now because im tryin to get a job so i gotta pass a drug test but as soon as i get that job i want to hit the bong again. i wont do it as much as i was because i was burnt out all the time but im still gonna smoke for the rest of my life. i have been to rehab a few times and one of the times i was there a kid that did coke was like yoo i tried that shit pot once and it made me feel funny and i said "biiitch" weeds the only shit that makes me feel normal. so, theres two catigories of people in this world. hi i am 19 years old and i love to smoke weed. i have been smoking a long time now and over the years of smokeing i have become a good person less anger . I think if we legalize weed people who dont have jobs or cant get jobs will have more money. i think that it is crazy that cops would let out a rapest befor thay would let out some one who had weed on them.all i have to say is legalize it.

you know what brendan don't listen to the nay sayers if you are not smoking that's fine. i smoke almost everyday. i'm not a burnout though. there is a difference. weed does not affect your mind in the way you say it has though. i've been smoking for a little over five years now. and i forget things yes but not important things. i can learn and remember new things while i'm high. i can work just as well if i'm high and i actualy do a better job because i'm less likely to get stressed out when i'm high. they should legalize marijuana. and you are having these affects in your brain from something else. cause bud doesn't even cause brain dmamge no more than smoking a ciagarette can. it merely shuts off your primamry brain cells and you are working on the secondary ones. doesn't even kill brain cells. there is medical proof of that from studies. even a couple of years ago some governor released that info to the public. forget all these people who are being mad at you for having an opinion though. they're just giving pot heads a bad name by being so hostile. but also you know check the facts before you get on the internet and say something like. that. you might think that all these affects are from weed but they aren't and if you had smoked weed on a regular basis like you said you would know that. so think before you go dissing something. and don't be afraid of weed embrace and let if become of part of you and then control it. don't let i control you. and you can be successful keep your SHORT _TERM memory ( which is the only part of your memory that is affected by marijuana) and still smoke everyday. i do it so can you. so ease up on the tension and enjoy drugs and remember weed is better for your body than booze is.

For all of you guys who are writing in advocating pot with a hard head...you sound like an immature fool. I smoked it for about ten years, and I am not completely for or against it. It, like all drugs, has side effects and they may catch up with you sooner or later....it effects everyone differently. I used to argue for it to be legalized all the time...I play music and think it can be used to stimulate the creative side of your mind. That being said, there are two sides to every story, and it is undeniable that smoking weed can make you lazy, anxious, indifferent and unable to cope with daily stress in a normal way. So....do what you like....say what you will....just please think before you talk.

Well, I can tell that there are a lot of pot smokers on here and I for one find it funny that this whole forum has a bunch of misspelled word :) Yes, I think it should be legal. Not for the everyday pot smoker but for crime reasons. I do know that people will say "well it will just make people sell harder drugs" and yes this is true ... to a point. It's estimated that if legalized, drug trafficking, crime, sells, and yes even usage would drop 40 to 50 "half" percent. The reason why people would just stop is because now they don't have to hide it, there's no excitement left "at least for some people" And for the everyday cop, they could take pot of the list so they won't have to worry about it. Just because you smoke pot doesn't mean that you are a bad person. Let the people do what they want to do.

I have smoke weed, ganja, pot, what ever you want to call it, and honestly it was the best. I got straight A's on weed and off it so honestly it doesn't do that to you unless you just can't handle it and maybe you have ADD or something. I quite for basketball and it was easy and i have never tried other drugs or even commited any other crimes. Its the same as alcohol, used wisely it is a good thing but when abused it can be harmful i guess
