I was fortunate to attend several GD concerts featuring the Wall of Sound, the most memorable being at the Cow Palace in So. San Francisco. At one point, I remember thinking this was the loudest I'd ever heard anything, and the sound was completely clean-no distortion, no pain, just physical presence. And then they turned it up...
