Books, advice etc. So much, yet so little from anyone that knows how to generate busines with a blog. I guess it is time to write a book by A realtor/broker who gets most of her business through her blog. Not selling any product or service.

Posted by: Teresa Boardman at Mar 7, 2007 9:47:36 AM

Do you get lots of business from your blog, Teresa?

Posted by: Hanan at Mar 7, 2007 10:51:36 PM

Hana - Yes I do get a lot of business from my blog. I know that is not the purpose of all blogs but the books and advice are directed at business blogs. :)

Realty Blogging is interesting enough. Hell, they even recommend this site! It's great for beginners although I wish there were something regarding the issues of "duplication" that occur in blogs from the use of archives etc. etc. Google tend to penalise for duplicate content and blogs have a habit of duplication just by way of the way they are set up. There is code that will prevent the Googlebots from spidering the same stuff twice and a discussion of that would have been interesting.

If you were going to buy a golf club, you wouldn't walk into a store and buy the first one you see, would you? Of course

not; especially if you want to improve your golf game! You'll want to hold the club, take some practice swings, hit some

balls if the store has a practice spot, and look at the price, of course. If you are considering buying running shoes,

you need to go through a similar process and take the time to find the perfect shoe.

This new & informative book is a MUST READ for any Real Estate agent who wants to stay 'with the times'! It is hard to believe that so much information is in such a small book. Re reading it is a given for those REALTORS, like myself who wish to grow their business. I am ready to implement some of them with my current blog - & can't wait for the results.

Posted by: Rick Landuyt at Apr 3, 2007 6:04:28 PM

I can't wait to read it. Can anyone recommend other books?

Posted by: Bill at Apr 7, 2007 9:29:58 PM

It seems that realy estate blogging is all over internet right now . Wherever I go a lot of talks about it. Its' an instant hit and I myself resort to such blogging stuff as well. It could really help a lot of people at the same time it is indeed helpful to real estate agents as well.I will try to see if I could get hold of that books as well.

Great article. I know things can get tough out there but I'm using a different website than the big two or three sites that cost $600-$800 a year.

I started using BuilderBrokerNetwork.com , it's really inexpensive (I think it's $59.99 a year). Basically, it networks commercial brokers, builders, and investors together. They have a Wants/Needs section that allows investors or buyers who are looking for certain types of commercial properties to post their needs then it's broadcasted to their database.

Hope this helps.
