A '69 Rambler without a working horn, heater or speedometer. And the windshield wipers worked off of a vacuum pump; they only wiped when your foot was OFF the gas!

Back then, cars didn't have to play videos and music, navigate your route, etc. They just had to get you there. I went cross-country twice in that old Rambler. Other than propping the choke open in the Rocky Mountains, I had no problems!

P.S. I owned it much later than '69!

Mine was a '66 MG Midget. A hand-me-down. While I had it, we went through a couple of tailpipes, then I just started re-attaching the same one every time it fell off. The floorboards fell out, the steering wheel fell off, and I kept driving it to about 300,000 miles.

Dang, Hanan, you know how to pick 'em. Sweet ride! My own first was also sweet - a 67 VW bug (no pics, I'm afraid). It was my favorite car until my 67 Kombi camper.
