Many more real estate blogs are being published
It looks like the blogging trend is finally catching on with Realtors. This may not be of interest to the general reader of ‘Grow-a-brain’, but since I started compiling the complete list of all Real Estate Blogs available, here are some new discoveries that I found recently. If un-interested, please scroll down to the next posting.
The Inman Blog is one of the most comprehensive and oldest group blogs in the industry. Bradley Inman (photo) is the founder and Chairman of HomeGain, and his Inman's news service delivers real-time real estate stories to more than 1,000 newspapers and Web sites, including those hosted by Yahoo!, The Chicago Tribune, The Wall Street Journal Online and CBS MarketWatch
The blog of Saint Louis Agent Kimberly Shallenberger (Prudential)
Chicagoland Real Estate Notes by Diannah Evans, Century 21
Survive in 2005, a promising office blog by the brokers of the Prudential Gary Greene Realtors in Houston, Texas. (I couldn’t find an actual link to their real estate site on the blog.) This is the type of real estate blog that I had in mind for Grow-a-brain when I first thought about it 2 years ago. Oh, well, it turned out differently…
Vacation Home Insider, news about second homes by former New York Times reporter and author Grace Lichtenstein
Portland real estate by Charles and Jennifer Turner of Prudential NW Properties
TheREALTYgram Blogger by Frances Flynn Thorsen of “Realty World” in Bethlehem, PA
Property Grunt by a soldier in the trenches of the Manhattan real estate
Central Virginia real estate news, trends, opinions and more, by Jim Duncan
Shaun's Real Estate Adventures by an investor in Chandler, AZ
Tom Hanna’s RealBlog, News and Information for Real Estate and Business in southwest Missouri
DC Gentrification by Ben Rand
Minowa (?), a Japanese real estate blog by some smiling fellow. I understood every word
The Mortgages Blog, since September 2004
Commonsense Real Estate, by columnist and author M. Anthony Carr in Springfield, Virginia
Spring, Texas Real Estate News
Analysis Paralysis by Anon, a real estate developer
Nashville Real Estate by Ulysses Minor
Port Townsend Real Estate by John Hardin
... And, the 'veteran' blog Location, Location, Location turned itself into a new aggregator called The Realty Blog
The problem with the real estate blogs, not unlike blogs in general, is that many of them are being abandoned rather quickly. Hopefully, this batch of bloggers will stay active. If you have a real estate blog not on my complete list of all Real Estate Blogs, please post a comment here, or email me with your URL & notes

Thanks

Hello,
Thank you for the link. I still haven't decided on what blog software to use. Do you know where I can get different reviews on blog software for my real estate site?
Thanks!

Hello From Memphis, Tennessee! eMetro Commercial Real Estate Journal is...well, just that, an online portal geared toward the commercial real estate investor, tenant, landlord or seller.
I'd love to be added to your distinguished list.
Thanks for the opportunity!

Hi, Thanks for putting together this resource.
I just started a blog: http://nestegg.blogs.com/nestegg/
I've done some personal real estate investing and currently researching the changes in 1031 tax treatment at Stanford. I put up the blog to help my friends who are first time home buyers as well as investors who are trying to evaluate their tax deferred options for their rental properties.

I just came across this blog. I think it's really informative. I'm developing a site http://www.orangecountycaliforniahome.com/ and wanted to see how about putting up a blog and rss feeds. Can I feed from this site?
Thanks.

We've been blogging away since the beginning of the year but we "moved." We were at www.TurnerRealtors.Typepad.com but can now be found at www.PortlandRealEstateBlog.com.
Happy reading,

I created a blog (http://www.denverfinancing.info) to address some of most common mortgage questions i've been asked. It won't always be about mortgages. How many mortgage blogs pay homage to Lance Armstrong (Live Strong!) and the rapper Mike Jones?

Hello,
I saw your blog requesting info on real estate blogs that you don't have listed. I just started a blog on Bradenton real estate (Florida).
The URL for my blog is: http://bradentonrealestateupdates.blogspot.com/
I put off starting a blog for a long time due to the fact that I thought it would be technically difficult to do. The interesting thing is that it was much easier than I imagined!
I am excited to be able to add information about the Bradenton real estate market for those in my area.
Thanks,
Deb Coupland-Porter, Realtor, ABR, CRS
